Protect Our Children-Olympia

Welcome to the Protect Our Children-Olympia organization website. We're Olympia residents working to protect our children and community from the proposed low-barrier shelter in downtown Olympia.

Here in Olympia, Washington, an organization wants to do just that - locate a dangerous "low-barrier" shelter-open to unidentified sex offenders, drug addicts and felons-across the street from St. Mike's School, a daycare center and close to two other schools.

"Low-barrier" shelters do not check ID or run background checks. They house anyone, no matter how drunk, high on drugs or how dangerous. Our city and tax dollars are already supporting this disastrous idea.

Please join us to stop this proposal and ask the city of Olympia councilmembers to find more effective ways to reduce the growing homeless population in Olympia immediately. To donate, visit our webpage or print out this donation form and send it in. Donation Form.pdf (316 kB)
